PC Exhibit C <br /> CITY OF ORONO DEFINITIONS: <br /> Zoning Code General Definitions.: <br /> Dwelling means a building or one or more portions of a building designed or intended to be <br /> occupied exclusively for residence purposes, but not including rooms in motels, hotels, nursing <br /> homes, boardinghouses, nor trailers, tents, cabins or trailer coaches. A dwelling shall not be <br /> interpreted to include lodging rooms. <br /> Dwelling, attached, means a dwelling which is joined to another dwelling at one or more sides <br /> by a party wall or walls. <br /> Dwelling, detached, means a dwelling which is entirely surrounded by open space on the same <br /> lot. <br /> Shoreland Section: <br /> Duplex, triplex and quad mean a dwelling structure on a single lot, having two, three and four <br /> units, respectively, being attached by common walls and each unit equipped with separate <br /> sleeping, cooking, eating, living and sanitation facilities. <br /> Dwelling site means a designated location where a dwelling unit is intended to be constructed. <br /> Dwelling site, transient, means a designated location for temporary or transient residential use by <br /> one or more persons using temporary or movable shelter, including camping and recreational <br /> vehicle sites. <br /> Dwelling unit means a building or a portion of a building designed or intended to be occupied <br /> exclusively for residential purposes, including provisions for sleeping, eating, cooking and <br /> sanitation for not more than one family, but not including rooms in motels, hotels, nursing <br /> homes, boardinghouses, nor trailers, tents, cabins, recreational vehicles, nor lodging rooms. <br /> CITY OF MOUND DEFINITIONS: <br /> Dwelling, attached, means a dwelling that is joined to another dwelling at one or more sides by a <br /> party wall. <br /> Dwelling, detached, means a dwelling that is entirely surrounded by open space on the same lot. <br /> Dwelling, multiple family, means a building designed exclusively for or occupied eXclusively by <br /> three or more families living independently of each other. <br /> Dwelling, single family, means a building designed exclusively for and occupied exclusively by <br /> one family. <br /> Dwelling, townhouse, means a building designed exclusively for or occupied exclusively for <br /> between three and six families living independently of each other. Each dwelling unit is attached <br /> horizontally in a linear arrangement with private front and rear entrances. Each dwelling unit <br /> must be separated from other dwelling units by a firewall extending from foundation through the <br /> roof with no openings. Each dwelling unit shall have a totally exposed front and rear wall to be <br /> used for entry, light, and ventilation. <br />
