� �11�' . . . <br /> � O . o <br /> �b. - C ITY of URONO <br /> ,� , � <br /> ti <br /> �� � G'�' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCiL _ <br /> ��kESH�4� NO. 3 218 ' <br /> RESOLUTION TO EXTEND TERM OF JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> �� OF WEST HENNEPIN RECYCLING COMMISSION <br /> WHEREAS, the cities of Greenfield, Independence, Long <br /> Lake, Loretto, Map.le Plain, Medina and Orono operated their <br /> recycling programs through West Hennepin Recycling Commission, a <br /> Joint Powers established under the authority of Minnesota <br /> Statutes section 471. 59 since 1986, and <br /> WHEREAS , this has allowed the above listed cities to <br /> share recycling costs and expenses with the benefit of reducing <br /> costs to the cities, anc3 � , <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono wishes to continue the <br /> program and cost sharing as outlined in the West Hennepin <br /> Recycling Commission Joint Powers Agreement; <br /> • THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orono <br /> authorizes the extension of the West Hennepin Recycling <br /> Commission Joint Powers Agreement through December 31, 1993. <br /> Motion to adopt resolution made by Councilmember Callahan <br /> and seconded by Mayor Peterson . <br /> In favor: Callahan, Peterson, Goetten, Jabbour and <br /> Butler. � <br /> Opposed:.
