MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, November 23, 2015 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />Levang stated she would like to remind everyone that the Orono Police Department is accepting <br />donations of hats, mittens, and other winter apparel that will be given to WeCan. <br />Printup reported the Highway 12 Safety Coalition has been working with representatives from other <br />communities and that they will be kicking off what is called the 12 For 12 campaign, which is no <br />fatalities for 12 months, on Monday, November 30. <br />McMillan stated she attended the Planning Commission meeting on November 16 and that they ended up <br />tabling the lighting and the rental home text amendments to January. The Planning Commission wanted <br />to look at it more in depth and possibly hold a work session on one or both of them. <br />McMillan noted the City is not going to mark the four corners of every fire lane, but that perhaps Staff <br />should photo document them in case there is tree loss or something else occurs.
