MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, September 28, 2015 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />_____________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 1 of 27 <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br />Lili Tod McMillan, Council Members Jim Cornick, Jr., Lizz Levang, Aaron Printup, and Dennis Walsh. <br />Representing Staff were Finance Director Ron Olson, Community Development Director Jeremy <br />Barnhart, Senior Planner Michael Gaffron, Public Works Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards, City <br />Attorney Soren Mattick, Consulting City Engineer David Martini, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br /> <br />Mayor McMillan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Item Nos. 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />Levang moved, Cornick seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as revised. VOTE: Ayes 5, <br />Nays 0. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />*2. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 14, 2015 <br /> <br />Levang moved, Cornick seconded, to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council meeting of <br />September 14, 2015, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />3. ORONO POICE OFFICER OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />City Clerk Diane Tiegs administered the oath of office to Police Officers Joshua Raze and <br />Timothy Datwyler. <br /> <br />4. RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ORONO POLICE DEPARTMENT – RESOLUTION <br />NO. 6543 <br /> <br />Mayor McMillan stated the Orono City Council would like the Orono Police Department to know how <br />much they support the work they perform by adopting a resolution expressing the City’s appreciation and <br />support as well as commending the excellent work they do. <br /> <br />Printup moved, Levang seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6543, a Resolution Commending <br />the Orono Police Department for Excellence. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />5. MEDIACOM UPDATE <br /> <br />Theresea Sunde, Government Relations Manager, and Zach Raskovich, Area Operations Director, were <br />present on behalf of Mediacom. <br />
