The Public Works Department has been monitoring that situation to see <br />whether it will work out in the long term. Edwards stated once the snow starts, the access will be closed. <br />*6. WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS — PAY REQUEST NO.7 AND <br />CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to approve Pay Request No. 7 to Municipal Builders, Inc., in the <br />amount of $18,524.31, and Change Order No. 1 for $2,939.78 for the Water Treatment Systems <br />Improvement Project. ACCEPT DONATIONS <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to accept a $100.00 donation from Aaron Printup and family to <br />the Orono Police Department. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to accept a $100.00 donation from Marsha Gronnenberg to the <br />Orono Police Department. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />9. #15-3768/15-3780 MICHAEL AND LISA LARSON, 3569 SHORELINE DRIVE, TEXT <br />AMENDMENT TO AMEND B-1 ZONING DISTRICT AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />Michael and Lisa Larson, Applicants, were present. <br />Community Development Director Barnhart noted there are two requests before the City Council tonight. <br />The first one is a text amendment to amend the B-1 zoning district to include indoor dog boarding, indoor <br />dog day care, and dog grooming as conditional uses. The second request is to approve a conditional use <br />permit for The Woofington, which is an indoor dog boarding, indoor dog day care, and dog grooming <br />business to be located at 3596 Shoreline Drive. <br />The Planning Commission and City Council have reviewed these applications on a number of occasions. <br />The text amendment was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission on August 17. The <br />Council tabled discussion on both September 14 and September 28. The conditional use permit was <br />reviewed by the Planning Commission on September 21, initially tabled, and then recommended for <br />approval on October 19. <br />Page 10 of 24 <br />
