WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orono has adopted subdivision <br /> regulations for the orderly, economic and safe development of land within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the application for a subdivision of <br /> . a plat of land owned by the Ciry of Orono, a municipal corporation, hereinafter the City; and <br /> • WHEREAS, on October 25, 1993, the Orono City Council approved Resolution <br /> • No. 3348 approving Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 5 that would realign the Metropolitan <br /> Urban Service Area (hereinafter "MUSA") within the City; and <br /> � WHEREAS, Lot 1, Block 1, French Lake of Orono, the residential lot within the <br /> subdivision would now be included within the MUSA and be served from fhe existing <br /> Metropolitan Waste Control Commission's facility located within the property; and <br /> WHEREA5, on November 4, 1993, the Metropolitan Council approved the City <br /> of Orono's application. . <br /> WHEREAS, Outlot A shall remain as an open space area to continue to be owned <br /> by the City consisting of a private driveway and future site for development of a park. ' <br /> WIiEREAS, the subdivision has been found to meet all standards of the RR-1B <br /> Rural Residential Zoning District and Shoreland Regulations, finding that the residential lot is <br /> of a size and configuration that will allow its use as a single family residence to be fully _ <br /> � developed without the need of any variances; and <br /> .
