MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE • <br /> SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 14 (C) <br /> AND SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1 (B) AND 2 � <br /> FILE #1830 <br /> ' WI�REAS, Richard S. Oorlog and Karen J. Oorlog (hereinafter "the <br /> applicants") are owners of the property located at 1058 Loma Linda Avenue within the City of <br /> , Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 5, L.oma Linda, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> • WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 14 (C) and Section 10.22, Subdivision 1 (B) and 2 to <br /> permit the construction of a lower level.deck at 16'x26' requiring a 10' setback variance to the <br /> average lakeshore setback line determined by decks on adjacent properties and 9'xl l'/z' dining <br /> room addition requiring a 16' setback variance to the principal structure average lakeshore <br /> setback line where no such encroachments are allowed and a connection upper deck at 9'x14'h'. <br /> The 16'x26' deck will be reconstructed within 70' of the lakeshore where a 75' setback is <br /> required. Structural improvements will result in 1,896.6 s.f. or 19% structural coverage where <br /> 19% exists and where 15% is allowed. The improvements will require the following hardcover <br /> variances: within the 0-75' setback area, hardcover is proposed at 123 s.f. or 3.28% where 423 <br /> or 11.2% exists and where none is allowed; within the 75-250' setback area, 3,795.5 s.f. or <br /> 60.9% is proposed and where 5,792 s.f. or 92.9% exists and where 25% is allowed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> � FINDINGS . <br /> 1.
