Klotsche (hereinafter "the applicants") have <br /> an interest in the property located at 2760 Shadywood Road within the City of Orono <br /> (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot A, Registered Land Survey No. 1196, Orono, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> • WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 1 (B) to permit construction of an addition that will <br /> encroach the average lakeshore setback line by 8' where no such encroachment is allowed and <br /> a variance to Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 as the proposed improvement will result in a <br /> hardcover increase of 218 s.f. or 1.1% where 5,799.3 s.f. or 31.1% hardcover exists in the 75- <br /> 250' setback and where 6,017.3 s.f. or 32.2% is proposed and where only 25% is allowed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1896. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-1B, Lakeshore Residential Zoning District <br /> requiring 1 acre in area. The property consists of 29,014.1 s.f. or .66 acres. <br /> 3. The Orono City Council reviewed this application on February Y4, 1994, and <br /> recommended conceptual approval of the proposed variances based upon the <br /> following findings: <br /> � Page 1 of 6 <br /> � Fam SU05 O�sk Orono <br />
