Otten and Anna M. Otten(hereinafter "the applicants") <br /> are owners of the property located at 425 Turnham Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter <br /> "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> The South four acres of the East five eighths of the East half of the Northwest Quarter <br /> of Section 31, Township 118 North, Range 23 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 9 (D) to permit the construction of a 26'x38' detached <br /> garage to be placed in front of the front line of the principal structure where the ordinance would <br /> require that structure be placed either in line with principal structure or to rear. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: � <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1939. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-lA, Rural Residential Zoning District requiring <br /> 5 acres in area. The subject property consists of 3.8 acres. <br /> � <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on June 20, 1994, and <br /> recommended approval of the variance as proposed based upon the following <br /> findings: � <br /> • Page 1 of 4 <br /> Fam 5005 Disk Orono <br />
