This permit shall
expire 90 days after the date of Issuance of the building permit
for the new residence, but Is renewable upon request until a
certificate of occupancy for the new residence Is Issued.
Upon Issuance of a certificate of occupancy for the new
residence, the existing residence must be removed from the
property. Such removal Is subject to obtaining a demolition
permit from the City of Orono. If you Intend to move the
residence off the site as a unit, you must obtain a building
moving permit from the City.
If, as previously discussed, you wish to keep the secondary
residence on the property, the only methods for doing that would
be to complete a subdivision, or to obtain conditional use permit
approval for a non-rental guest house. Both of these
alternatives require City Council approval, and given your
expected 6 month construction period, final action on either
alternative would likely be feasible prior to your completion
date. You are advised to make early decisions regarding the
existing residence, so that at your completion date (estimated at
June 15, 1990) you will have completed the subdivision or
conditional use permit process or are prepared to immediately
remove the existing residence.
Upon issuance of the certificate of occupancy for the new
residence, the existing residence shall be moved from the
property if neither a subdivision or guest house conditional use
permit have been obtained.
BUILDING a ZONING > 473-73S7
ASSESSING
ADMINISTRATION & IlNANCE - 473-735i
FAX-473-0510
PUBUC WORKS - 473-7350
