CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �esl,4 ��G NO. 7684 <br /> 'ICES Ho <br /> A RESOLUTION TO AMEND <br /> THE PERSONNEL POLICY <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Orono is committed to foster a professional, equitable, and <br /> productive workplace by providing employees with clear policies, procedures and expectations; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the personnel policy promotes transparency and trust, mitigates risks, and <br /> ensure fairness in the treatment of employees; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono personnel policy was first established on November 23, <br /> 1981 by adoption of Resolution 1339 and amended by resolutions seven times since with further <br /> amendments via Council motion; and <br /> WHEREAS,the current personnel policy was approved by Council motion on December <br /> 8, 2025; and <br /> WHEREAS,upon adoption of the Personnel Policy in Exhibit A, all previous resolutions <br /> and motions will be repealed. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br /> the Personnel Policy attached as Exhibit A is adopted in its entirety and the revised policies <br /> supersede all previously adopted personnel policies and procedures, except those contained in <br /> approved bargaining union contracts. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on May 26, 2026. <br /> ATTEST: CITY OF ORONO <br /> (12., <br /> C e Lusia , ty Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />
