A summan• of the inspection is <br />below. <br />Septic Tank Condition <br />I. Pumpout needed within one year (last pumpout unknown). <br />The septic system is non -compliant due to a lack of a three foot separation distance between the bottom <br />of the drainfield to the se;uonall• high watertable. The three foot requirement is a State Code, not a Cite <br />Code. A soil boring was conducted to determine the depth of the seasonally watertable. The septic <br />system mu replaced no later than December 31, 2010. <br />Enclosed is u list of stave licensed septic contractors who work in Orono on a regular basis. Also <br />enclosed is a fact sheet explaining how a septic s}•stem functions properly.
