The deposition of spoils below the OHW will reduce the capacity of the
wetland to store stormwater runoff.
2. The deposition of spoils below the OHW will reduce the surface area of
emergent wetland vegetation and thereby reduce the wetland's ability to
assimilate nutrients from stormwater runoff.
Prior to any further review by the District, the plan shall be revised to
indicate the disposal of dredging spoils will be placed in an upland area 50
feet from the wetland edge and diked to prevent the return of sediment to the
wetland basin.
Should you have any questions or problems, please advise.
Very truly yours,
EUGENE A.
