SYSTEM DESIGN <br />FOR JOHN IDSTROM <br />OF LOT 1, BLOCK 1, BEAU MARAIS <br />ORONO, MINNESOTA <br />3-28-87 <br />1. Percolation Rate, Type of System. <br />Use the alternate site because it is closer to the proposed house. 10.4 <br />minutes per inch and a shallow trench system. <br />2. Proposed Flow Rate. <br />3 bedrooms @ 150 G.P.D. = 450 G.P.D. <br />3. Soil Treatment Area Required. <br />Us, factor x 450 G.P.D. = 900 Sq. Ft. minimum. <br />• <br />4. Size cnd Number of Trenches. <br />Three trenches 3 feet wide and 100 feet long = 900 Sq. Ft. These trenches <br />would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet apart and be around 1 foot deep in <br />the natural suil. <br />5. Drainfield Rock Needed. <br />33.3 cubic yards of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 2 inches over <br />a 4 inch distribution pipe. <br />6. Septic Tanks. <br />Two septic tanks of at least 1000 and 750 gallons are needed. In addition, <br />a third pumping tank and pump are needed to reach the higher drainfield area. <br />7. Additional Information. <br />All construction and materials must adhere to the requirements of the City <br />of Orono. Both of the proposed drainfield areas must be kept free from <br />grading and construction traffic to preserve the natural soil.
