A RESOLUTION ORDERING <br /> PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR � <br /> BAY RIDGE/HARTWOOD <br /> SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Orono is a municipal corporation existing under the laws <br /> of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared a feasibility study to determine the <br /> feasibility of serving the Bay Ridge/Hartwood neighborhood with sanitary sewer; and <br /> WHEREAS,on February 10, 1997 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 3843 <br /> receiving the feasibility report and calling for a public hearing for the Bay Ridge sanitary sewer <br /> improvement; and <br /> . WHEREAS, the Hartwood neighborhood was subsequently added to the defined <br /> • sewer improvement area for possible assessment purposes because construction of the sewer trunk <br /> serving Bay Ridge will provide a future trunk service to the Hartwood neighborhood at such future <br /> unspecified time that sewer laterals are provided to Hartwood. <br /> . WHEREAS,ten days mailed notice to the residents of the Bay Ridge and Hariwood <br /> neighborhoods and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held <br /> thereon on the l Oth day of March, 1997, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an <br /> opportunity to be heard thereon; and <br /> � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does <br /> hereby direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for the installation of sanitary <br /> � sewer for the Bay Ridge and Hartwood neighborhoods as proposed in the Feasibility Report. <br /> Adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on March 10, 1997 by a vote <br /> of � 5 ayes and�_nays. <br /> A EST: Gabriel abbour,Mayor <br /> . 1 � . <br /> • . <br /> orothy M.'� al in, City Clerk <br />
