Claims/Bills <br />Ricks asked for and the Finance Director provided an explanation of payments being made to the <br />Shoreline Fire Department. <br />Ricks moved, Benson seconded, to approve the Claims and Bills. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT REPORT <br />14. LA25-000033, Hennepin County, 3700 North Shore Drive (North Arm Public Boat Launch), <br />Vacation, Variance, Conditional Use Permit, and Interim Use Permit <br />Hennepin County proposed a redesign on the North Arm Boat Launch. The City Council voted 4-1 to <br />direct staff to prepare findings to approve the requested land use applications (Variances, Conditional Use <br />Permit and Interim Use Permit) with the identified conditions recommend by staff in the agenda item and <br />deny the right of way vacation request. The council provided feedback for additional information on the <br />boat launch width and overall enforcement policy for the site. <br />Persian moved, Schwingler seconded, to direct staff to draft findings of denial for the vacation of <br />the public street and approval of the three variances, the Conditional Use Permit, and Interim Use <br />Permit as proposed with the conditions in the staff report and further discussions with Hennepin <br />County about narrowing the access point and ideas regarding ongoing enforcement of the <br />conditions. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 1 (Benson). <br />15. LA26-000011, 2745 Kelley Parkway, Extension Orono Apartments, 6th Extension, Resolution <br />7678 <br />The City Council considered an extension of a master plan for a 56-unit apartment building approved in <br />April of 2020. The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff and the applicant, Neal <br />Webber, the architect for the project. <br />Persian moved, Benson seconded, to grant a one-year extension for the proposed apartment project <br />at 2745 Kelley Parkway. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR REPORT <br />16. City Hall Office Furniture <br />The City Council considered a proposal to replace City Hall furniture that has been in use since the City <br />Hall was built in the 1990s. The proposed cost would not exceed $45,000 for 13 offices.
