C l ty of UH,ONO <br />t TF RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />• NO. <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A VARIANCE TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 15 (F) <br />FILE #1056 <br />WHEREAS, Olai Hanson (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner <br />of the property located at 1390 Railroad Avenue within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br />hxhibit A attached (Hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance to <br />Municipa 'Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 15 (F) to permit the <br />construction of a detached garage located 4.6 feet from the side lot line <br />where a side yard setback of 10 feet is normally require9. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1056. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lA Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono P1,ar,ning Commission reviewed this application on July <br />21, 1986, September 8, 1986 and August 17, 1987 and recommended <br />approval of the proposed variance on a vote of 4 ayes and 2 nays based <br />upon the finding that construction of the garage 4.6' from the side <br />lot. line will. not to a significant degree infringe upon the amount of <br />sunlight falling upon the neighboring property owned by "Irs. Golden. <br />4.
