I 6. The Contractor shall furnish, erect and maintain signs and barricades as provided in MHD 171C "Barricades and Signs" under the aeneral Conditions to protect the public. The City Engineer shall be notified 24 hours prior to the proposed partial blockage or closure of any street or public right- of-way. No street or public right-of-way shall be closed wit' -out t'ie proper approval of t:=e City Engineer. 7.
