��IVO <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> 10,111ILJNO. 7679 <br /> H <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION <br /> WHEREAS,the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat. 465.03 to accept donations of <br /> property for the benefit of its people and is specifically authorized to accept gifts; and <br /> WHEREAS, the acceptance of donations is subject to approval by a simple majority vote of the <br /> City Council through formal resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono has established a Park Donation Program to allow individuals, <br /> families, and organizations to support and improve the City's parks, trails, and open spaces for <br /> the benefit of the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a donation from Orono Westonka Soccer Club in the amount <br /> of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) to assist with the purchase of new 9v9 <br /> soccer goals at Bederwood Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, acceptance of this donation indicates the City's intent to use the funds to purchase <br /> and install the soccer goals at the designated location in accordance with the Park Donation <br /> Program guidelines; and <br /> WHEREAS,the donation has been donated to Orono for the benefit of its residents; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation. <br /> RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts the donation of$1,500 for soccer <br /> goals. <br /> FURTHER, the City will use the donated funds to purchase and install new soccer goals at <br /> Bederwood Park and staff are authorized to take the necessary steps to complete the purchase <br /> and installation. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on April 13, 2026. <br /> ATTES • CITY OF ORONO <br /> &Ara <br /> C T'Lu. ity Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />
