He has also proposed to add a basement under the existing attached garage to install <br />drain tile. The existing residence is 9.4 feet from the side lot line. The proposed addition would be <br />9 feet from the lot line where 30 feet is required. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Planning Commission recommended by a 6 to O vote to: <br />1. Approve the variance from side yard setback requirements to permit an addition to the <br />applicant's house. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />To approve or amend the enclosed resolution.
