NO. <br /> A 1tESOLUTION A�J'�HORIZ�TG <br /> Td� INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNS <br /> IN T� �t�GERNESS POINT NEIGI�BORHOOD <br /> W�REAS, the City of Orono is a municipal organization under the laws of the <br /> State of Minnesota; and <br /> WI�EEREAS, a petition has been received from residents in this area documenting <br /> problems associated with vehicle and boat trailer pazking. This parking is the result of overflow <br /> from the North Arm and Maxwell Bay boat landings. Problems include safety of children in the <br /> area, damage to lawns, trash, and noise from eazly in the morning until late in the evening; and <br /> WI�R�AS, the street widths in this area range from 24 feet to less than 16 feet. <br /> These street widths are substandard for on-street parking of numerous vehicles with trailers; and <br />. • � � . <br /> WI�I2EAS, Antoinne Park is located adjacent to Fagerness Point Road and high <br /> � volumes of traffic are not desirable in the vicinity of the park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County Roads and other City Streets in the vicinity of the North <br /> Arm and Mu�well Bay boat landing areas are posted for No Parki.ng thus intensifying the parking <br /> . problems in the Fagerness Point neighborhood. <br /> .
