Date: March 30, 2026 Item: 4 <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards, City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Grant - Sanitary Sewer Improvements - Resolution 7673 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />To obtain City Council authorization for submission of a payment application for the 2023 MCES <br />Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) Grant Program. <br /> <br />2.Background: <br />The State of Minnesota has appropriated funding to the Metropolitan Council Environmental <br />Services (MCES) to support a municipal wastewater inflow and infiltration reduction grant <br />program. The City applied for and was awarded a grant amount up to $101,250. These funds will <br />reimburse eligible costs associated with work completed as part of the City’s 2024 and 2025 <br />cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) sewer rehabilitation projects. <br /> <br />3.Requirements: <br />As a condition of participation in the grant program, the City must adopt a resolution formally <br />authorizing participation and submission of reimbursement requests. <br />4.Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends adoption of the attached resolution. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to adopt a resolution 7673 authorizing participation in the MCES Municipal I&I Grant Program <br />and approval of the associated payment application. <br />Exhibits <br />A.
