A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />LOT AREA, LOT WIDTH AND <br />SETBACK VARIANCES <br />FROM ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE <br />SECTIONS 78-420 <br />FILE NO. 15-3775 <br />Council <br />Exhibit A <br />WHEREAS, Jeffrey Zitzloff and Brenda Zitzloff, a married couple (hereinafter <br />the "Applicant") are the owners of the property located at 1380 Briar Street within the City of <br />Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as: the West half of Lots 3 and 4, Block 2, <br />Markville, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the Property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant has made application to the City for a variance from <br />Orono City Code Section 78-420 to permit redevelopment of a property having substandard <br />area and width which includes setback variances; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant has made application to the City for variances from <br />Orono City Code Section 78-420 to permit construction of a new residence on a property which <br />is 14,000 square feet (0.32 acres) in area where 87,120 square feet (2.0 acres) is required; <br />and with a width of 160 feet where 200 feet is required; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant has made application to the City for a variance from <br />Orono City Code Section 78-420 to permit construction of a new residence 22 feet from the <br />front lot line and 20 feet from the rear lot line where 50 foot setbacks are required; and <br />WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the Orono, Minnesota, City Code, the Orono Planning Commission <br />held a public hearing on September 21, 2015, at which times all persons desiring to be heard <br />concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #15-3775. <br />2. The Property is located in the RR-1 B One Family Residential Zoning District which <br />requires a minimum lot area of 2.0 acres and a minimum lot width of 200'. <br />3. The Planning Commission reviewed this application on September 21, 2015, the <br />Planning Commission voted 6 in favor and O opposed on a motion to recommend <br />Page 1 ofS
