Request for Council Action continued <br />Page 3 <br />September 19, 1996 I Updated October 23, 1996 <br />#2159 James and Joann Jundt, 1400 Bracketts Point Road <br />may justify structural repair to the boathouse include its age, its connection with the history <br />of the property, and its unique former function as a "changing room" with a divider for a boys' <br />side and a girls' side. Planning Commission suggested that applicant work with staff to <br />determine the cosmetic versus structural nature of contemplated repairs, if structural restoration <br />variances are necessary to bring that back as a separate application. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff concurs with Planning Commission that the stairways, retaining wall and grotto should <br />be restored. Additionally, Council should give applicant direction regarding the restoration of <br />the boathouse. <br />A resolution for approval of the restoration of the stairways, grotto and retaining wall 1s <br />attached for Council adoption. <br />Options for Action <br />1. Approve per attached resolution. <br />2. Approve per attached resolution with revisions. <br />3. Table for further information. <br />4. Conceptual denial. <br />5.
