C <br /> � � _�:�r <br /> a <br /> O�l <br /> � � r <br /> • O O <br /> ��b. - CITY of ORONO <br /> � ' ti <br /> �� G'� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL . . � � <br /> � L�k'EsI3oS°`''�' . � � NO. � �o � •�� _ <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br /> MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM PARK DEDICATION AMOUNTS <br /> � FOR COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL ZO1vED LAND <br /> WI�REAS, the City's general park dedication requirement is 8%of the land being <br /> platted or subdivided; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City's park dedication ordinance calls for the dedication requirement <br /> to be rou;hly proportional to the projected impact of the proposed development on the City's park <br /> system; and � <br /> VV�iEREAS,the City's park dedication ordinance provides for the establishinent of <br /> minimum and maximum park dedication amounts per residential dwelling unit; and <br /> • WHEREAS,the City finds the employees of commercial/industrial developments <br /> make use of the City's park system in ways similar to City residents,particularly since the City's park <br /> system is focused on trails and natural areas; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City's park dedication ordinance ties the commerciaVindustrial park� <br /> dedication requirement to the residential park dedication requirement by determining the number of <br /> commerciaUindustrial employees that is equivalent to a residential dwelling unit in terms of impact <br /> on the City's park system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds that ten employees are equivalent to one residential <br /> dwelling unit in terms of impact on the park system; and <br /> � WHEREAS, the City has established a minimum park dedication amount per <br /> residential dwelling unit as $2,900 per unit, and a maximum park dedication amount per dwelling � <br /> unit as $4,900 per unit. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does <br /> hereby establish the minimum park dedication amount for commerciaUindustrial zoned land as <br /> $2,900 per each ten employees, and the maximum park dedication amount as $4,900 per each ten <br /> employees. <br /> � Page 1 of 2 _ � <br />
