Kmetz (hereinafter "the applicants") are the <br /> owners of the property located at 640 Orchard Park Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter <br /> "the City") and legally described as follows: � <br /> Lot 13, "Orchard Park, Hennepin County, MN" (hereinafter "the properry"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 10.27, Subd. 5 (B) to permit the construction of a three stall garage <br /> addition to be located 71.71' from the front lot line where a 100' setback is required. <br /> � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2360. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RR-lA One Family Rural Residential Zoning <br /> District requiring 5 acres in area. The property consists of 4.79 acres. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on April 20, 1998 <br /> and recommended approval of the proposed variances based upon the following <br /> � . . findings: . <br /> A. The existing residence was constructed in 1959 before the current 5 acre <br /> zoning standards. <br /> B. Mature trees provide screening from the front property,line. <br /> C. The setback for the addition is consistent with the neighborhood and is <br /> necessary to function with the internal floor plan of the residence. <br /> � <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
