230 '5�9 ls(ad -- <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL METING HELD AUGUST 25, 1986 <br />#DOCK PERMIT CONTINUED <br />recommends that this be permitted subject to the owner <br />being liable to any use related, that the dock be <br />maintained appropriately, and effective until such time <br />as there are other requests from other inland properties <br />requesting a dock at the same location. <br />It was moved by Acting Mayor Adams, seconded by <br />Councilmember Grabek, to adopt Resolution #2038 <br />approving a dock permit on a platted unimproved right- <br />of-way known as Bay Place on Big Island to serve Lots 19 <br />and 20, P.I.D No. 23-117-23 23 0033, until such time as <br />there are other requests from other inland properties <br />requesting the installation of a dock at this location. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />OF GOVERNORS - <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained t the Big <br />Island Board of Governors made a letter re at in early <br />August to be put on the agenda, in which aff responded <br />\ by letter requesting that they conta staff ahead of <br />time to no avail. <br />Present for this matter were: Do ald A. Miller, Stuart <br />Gorney, Alan Wiedorf, Joe B us, and Lance Bartlett. <br />Don 'ller explained that a Chairman of the Board of <br />Trust a, Leonard Car on, has been out of town <br />there fo was unable o respond to staff's letter. <br />As former airman of he Board and friend, Mr. Miller <br />was asked to eak o shelf of Chairman Carlton and the <br />Board o/exained <br />Mr. Milthe process that was undertaken in <br />order fs o retain possession of the Vets <br />camp. d th areas of concern while trying to <br />rebuilnotin that most of these problems <br />existed years rior to possession of the <br />properthan a y r ago, by the Board of <br />V City has issued 3 citat ns for the storage of <br />fish houses on the island, oting that the fish <br />houses have been stored on the and previous years <br />and this is the first year the B rd of Governors <br />has had any control. He stated t t the issue is <br />now tied up in the court system betwe the city and <br />the owner of fish houses and the Boar of Governors <br />is caught in the middle of the issue. <br />
