License - Navarre Liquors Inc. <br />Steve Corl, Sole Stockholder - Public Nearing <br />ISSUE <br />1. holding a public hearing to take public comment regarding the <br />impending issue of issuance of an off -sale liquor license to Mr. <br />Steven Corl incop_jrated business as Navarre Liquors Inc. at the <br />current municipal liquor store location. <br />2. Award of an off -sale liquor license to Navarre Liquors Inc. <br />in which Mr. Steven Corl is the sole stockholder. <br />INTRODUCTION - At your last Council meeting you awarded the sale <br />oTthe municipal liquor store to Mr. Steven Corl pending issuance <br />of a license. Starting upon receipt of bids the Police initiated <br />an investigation for. Mr. Steven Corl. The results of which were <br />forwarded to you under a separate cover. <br />DISCUSSION - Based on the fact that there has been no finding <br />Fiat Mr. Steven Carl as the sole stockholder of Navarre Liquors <br />Inc. it not a licensable applicant it is recommended that Navarre <br />Liquors Inc. be awarded an off -sale license to operate an off - <br />sale liquor store at 3421 Shoreline Drive commencing 1 June 1987. <br />Mr. Corl is hoping to have the lease arrangement with Mr. Keaveny <br />available by Monday, April 27, 1987 for review. If n t able to <br />review staff would recommend a preliminary approval with final <br />approval action tabled to May 11, 1987. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by , to awar,j the off- <br />s a I , liquor license to Navarre Liquors Inc, to operate an off - <br />sale liquor store at 3421 Shoreline Drivf, commencing 1 June 1987 <br />until 31 December 1 yH-7.
