MINUTES <br />LAKE,. MINNETONKA CABLE COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />5:00 p.m., EXCELSIOR T.V. STUDIO <br />TUESDAY, March 17, 1987 <br />I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />MOTION 3.17.37.1: Roehl moved, seconded by Haggerty, to approve <br />the February 17, 1987 minutes with the ai nent to exclude the <br />words 'virtually brand now" in referring he Cable system <br />technical audit repo t stated twice on pa(, three (3) under new <br />business. Motif— .arried unanimously. <br />III. REPORTS <br />A. 'TREASURER <br />MOTION 3.17.87.2: Just Claims: Roehl moved, seconder] by Andorbon, <br />to approve just claims as written. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. VICE CHAIR <br />Dennis Haggerty reported that Mary :smith of Dowden had presented a <br />document to him which wa�_. an advertisement for a business called <br />Cable Plus. Haggerty called Cable Pius to get information on the <br />business they are operating. Haggerty stated the business operates <br />out of a home, and install; a tiding box (unrelated to Dowden) which <br />adds additional outlets to homes for a one time r.harge. <br />Chairman Olds asked Mary Smith if Dowden is pursuing this sitlation <br />as it is costing Dowden lost revenues. Smith commented that at this <br />time it would be too costly although ClawdEn is auire of Cable Plas. <br />C. ADMINISTRATIVE <br />Access: The new set was delivered to Orono, the system looks good. <br />Administrator Hansen will get a drawing of the set to show the <br />Commission. <br />Administrator Hansen had a meeting with the representatives of the <br />Sailor, South Shore Weekly News, Pioneer, and the Laker, they dis- <br />cussed the program - Tonka Topics, the newspapers are very supportive <br />of this program. The Newspapers and City managers are involved in <br />the production of Tonka Topics. Administrator Hansen also spoke with <br />the representatives about starting a cable colut.^. This column <br />would include highlights of the activities happening in the various <br />studios (Mound, Orono, Wayzata, and Excelsior) and inform the public <br />about Public access. <br />Hansen, informed the Commission that she will be submitting an excerpt <br />of the Late Minnetorva Nets to the National Federation of Local Cable <br />Programme[ (NFLC') v'deo contewt. <br />- I - <br />
