The proposal is to constrnct a <br />two tier wall with 3:1 (horizontal to vertical) intermediate slopes and geogrid restraints. <br />The previously constructed embankment was constructed at a 1:1 or 1.5:1 slope and has <br />subsequently failed. We feel that the proposed wall is feasible from an engineering <br />st.tndpoint. <br />Due to the marginal soils in the area (some clayey silt), close construction supervision is <br />recommended to insure adequate compaction of the embankments. The soil should be <br />placed at near optimum moisture conditions.
