t <br /> s <br /> j ' 002207 <br /> O O <br /> CITY Of 0 ON <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> SHD NO. 4 1 4 1 <br /> TRANSFER EN—MRM <br /> A RESOLUTION GRANTING INEPIW GQJ TY Tr OMERe <br /> VARIANCES TO <br /> MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE �4V 13 as <br /> SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1 AND 2 <br /> AND SECTION 10.56, SUBDIVISION 16 (C-1&2) AEIZW* <br /> _FILE #2393 BY <br /> WHEREAS, Richard Kai! and Carol Kail Cherainafter "the applicants") are <br /> owners of the property located at 2917 Casco Point Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter <br /> "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 108, Spring Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br /> Commission held a public hearing on July 20, 1998, at which times all persons desiring to be <br /> heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivisions 1 and 2 and Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (C-1&2) <br /> to permit construction of a 14'x20' garage in the 250-500' setback where 3,522 sq. ft. (39.4%) <br /> hardcover exists and 3,610 sq. ft. (40.1%) is proposed where 2,697 sq. ft. (30%) is allowed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2393. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-1C Zoning District, where 1/2 acre or 21,780 <br /> sq. ft. is the minimum lot area. The property consists of .206 acres or 8,990 sq. <br /> ft. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on July 20, 1998, <br /> and recommended approval on a vote of 6 to 0. <br /> 4. The Planning Commission made the following findings of fact: <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br />
