Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 <br />The City of Orono is required to notify you within fifteen (15) business days as to the status of your <br />application for a Variances for property located at 1635 Bohns Point Road. Our preliminary review <br />indicates that your application is complete. However, you may wish to submit statements from the <br />adjacent property owners confirming their preference for your proposed additions instead of a new house <br />constructed behind the average lakeshore setback. If these statements are received before July 14 they <br />would be included in the Planning Commission packet. <br />The application now includes a structural coverage variance since the top of the deck railing will be more <br />than six feet above existing grade. This brings structural coverage to 3,009 square feet or 15.09 percent. <br />Your grading has been sent to the City Engineer at Bonestroo for review. You and your surveyor will <br />receive a copy of the Engineer's comments by email or fax. If revisions are required they should not be <br />submitted until after the Planning Commission meeting so any changes the Commission requests· can be <br />incorporated into the revision. The revised plan must be submitted at least two weeks before the City <br />Council meeting. <br />Your application is scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission on Monday, July 20, 2009. The <br />meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. Please make sure that you or your representative is available to attend the <br />meeting. You will be mailed a staff report regarding your application prior to the meeting date agenda.
