Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 <br />The City of Orono is required to notify you within fifteen (15) business days as to the status <br />of your application for an after-the-fact conditional use permit for fill for property located at <br />1625 Bohn's Point Road. Below is a list of items the City of Orono is requesting to <br />complete our review: <br />• A survey showing topography post-fill and topography pre-fill in 2' contour intervals <br />for the entire property (the City has separate surveys showing this information <br />however one survey combining the post-fill and pre-fill grades is necessary to <br />accurately calculate the amount of fill brought onto the site and where that fill was <br />placed). <br />• The above referenced survey should also include topography 50' beyond 1625 <br />Bohn's Point Road property boundaries. The City must verify how the fill has <br />affected drainage on the neighbor's property as the Ordinance does not permit <br />grading within 5' of the property boundaries (other than for the creation of a <br />drainage swale). <br />• The survey submitted with the building permit indicates swales along the north and <br />south side property boundaries. The most recent survey dated 7-20-04 doesn't <br />indicate that these swales were ever constructed. Please verify this as all drainage <br />must be controlled within the property boundaries. <br />• Lastly, the most recent survey shows locations of a number of retaining walls which <br />were not noted on the survey submitted with the building permit.
