MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 30, 1987 <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN # 2 <br />Planning Commission recommendation - <br />Constru^ti.cn of frontage road to reduce direct. <br />access to Hwy. 12 with no location designated. <br />Area 3 - Land north of Hwy. 12 between Old Crystal <br />Bay &willow. <br />Staff recommendation - Sewer to full area <br />Commercial/Non- single family residential on <br />southern 1/3 of property. Single family sewered <br />on north. <br />Planning Commis..ion recommendation - Same as <br />staff except unsewered on eastern 1/7 of <br />northern 2/3 of property. <br />Tom Reiersgord, attorney representing the owners <br />of the south half except for the west 20 acres; <br />and also represent the owner of the northeast <br />corner of Area 3. He noted that the northeast <br />corner has a high water tale and should be <br />included in the sewered area. He would like to <br />see a broader range for potential development. <br />He felt the property was too valuaLle for <br />residential development. <br />Area 4 - Rebers Property <br />Staff recommendation - Business abutting Hwy. 12 <br />with a frontage road & possible single family <br />against frontage road back to 2 acre single <br />family. <br />Planning Commission recommendation - Same as <br />staff.'s not desiring to cut off Brown Road. <br />Inclusion of entire Rebers' property in MUSA. <br />No readjustment of B-1 zone until a formal <br />proposal submitted. <br />Mr. Rebers was present and stated he would voice <br />his comments when his counsel is present at the <br />April 27th. meeting. Upon request, Mr. Rebers <br />stated r.hat if property is zoned 1-acre, 25 <br />homes would be proposed; zoned 2-acre, 15 homes <br />proposed; and zoned 1 a d 2-acre blend, 21 homes <br />pt oposed . <br />Tim A6ems noted, for the record, that there is a <br />great concern among the homeowners regarding <br />the number of cars on North Brown Road. <br />
