Box 86 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />Dear Sir: <br />Our annual half -marathon between Wayzata and Excelsior is <br />scheduled for May 3, 1987, We again expect 600 runners. <br />As in past years, we will start in Wayzata a.. 9:00 a.m. and use <br />the same route as before. As you recall, this enters Orono on <br />West Ferndale and crosses County Road 15 someplace between West <br />Ferndale and Orono orchard. The course goes up Orono Orchard, <br />turns at Fox Street, t.;es Fox Street to Old Crystal Bay Road and <br />takes Old Crystal Bay -oad to Crystal Bay. It then takes 51 to <br />County Road 19, take- County Road 19 to Northview, goes back <br />through the westerly part of Minnetonka Beach and comes back to <br />County Road 15. It crosses 15 at Old Beach Road, takes Old Beach <br />Road to 19 and takes 19 across the Narrows bridge to Excelsior. <br />Please send me the permit application required by your <br />ordinancesi I will complete and return it immediately upon <br />receipt. <br />Your help in arranging this event with the Orono Council and the <br />North Shore Police Department is greatly appreciated. I will <br />look forward to working with Mel Kilbo as race date approaches. <br />Once again, we will be contributing race proceeds to area civic <br />organizations including the Orono Crime Prevention Fund. <br />Yours very truly, <br />David B.
