County 24 along Willow. Hennepin County has indicated <br />that in order for them to extend 116 south of 55 they <br />want to go all way to Highway 12, which involves the <br />section of Willow from the Medina city border through <br />County 6 down to Highway 12. At their March 17th <br />meeting Medina tabled the matter until April 21, 1987. <br />It is anticipated that Medina will act on this on the <br />21st. If Medina decides to go ahead and requests this <br />from Hennepin County, the City of Orono will be <br />establishing a public hearing to consider the issue the <br />end of May or early June. <br />- Property V_a_luation Notices - It is anticipated that <br />the City's contract Assessors Rolf Erickson and Dave <br />Wilde will be having valuation notices transmitted to <br />all Orono property owners during mid -April. The City <br />Council has established Wednesday, May 13, 1987 at its <br />Board of Review date. when you receive your notices <br />please review those and if you have any question about <br />the valuation please feel free to contact Rolf or Dave. <br />- Metro Waste Interceptor - Because of problems that <br />have occurred on the Metropolitan Waste's interceptor <br />which starts in Minnetonka Beach, goes up Shadywood Road <br />and th-n east along North Shore Drive, they are <br />proposing that improvements be made to that line. It is <br />possible that a public hearing on this matter will be <br />held during April or May, but in any event will be held <br />before the work is commenced. <br />- Ciry Hall Space Study - As you may be aware the City <br />has been looking at its current facilities (City Hall, <br />Police and Public Works) in an attempt to determine what <br />are its prr it needs together with looking toward the <br />n,•xt le to 'ears as to future needs, currently the <br />City has pro; ,als from four consultants regarding the <br />undr rt.oxing of such a spas,. study to determine what <br />those n,,ed.; are and t'en also to give the City advice on <br />>om,� d�>:ign ilternttivnr,, if 3 change is appropriate. <br />The-;e alternatives w•,uld in,,lude staying at the same <br />�it-., lnokiny into a Public Works- 9uidling separately <br />from th,• current Bite or 1,­�king at doing an entirely <br />new facility separit-� Irom the current !:Ite. <br />w <br />
