Mr. Mark Bernhardson <br />February 12, 1987 <br />Page five <br />already prepared to assume the significant development costs <br />implicit in the Corridor Study plan as a cost on Property No. 4. <br />However, this particular cost is a very heavy burden to be passed <br />on to homeowners, and forces pricing of the lots and the <br />subdivision to a very high level, which is not necessarily in the <br />best interest either of Orono or of Long Lake. <br />Attached for reference are copies of Figures 39 and 31 <br />to the Corridor Study and a xerox copy of a theoretical <br />subdivision plan incorporating Larry Hanson's suggestions that he <br />presented to the February 3 Meeting. <br />Sid Rebers has asked us to reiterate his willingness to work <br />with the City of vrono on the implementation of the Corridor <br />Study as described, his willingness to subject his property to <br />the roads and other improvements called for by the guide plan, <br />and his willingness to bear his share of assessed costs of the <br />same, all in the manner described in the Corridor Study. He <br />would like to work with the City of Orono to address the issues <br />raised at the February 3 Meeting (and reviewed in this letter) by <br />the Corridor Study, and is eager to move forward with the City <br />toward a prompt resolution of these matters so that he will be <br />able to commence the development of Property No. 4.
