AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: February 17, 2026 <br />Title: Accessory Building Discussion <br />Presenter: Laura Oakden, Community Development Director <br />Section: Work Session Item <br />Purpose: <br />An overview and discussion of the regulations pertaining to accessory buildings. <br />Item: <br />2. Background: <br />Accessory buildings are buildings that are subordinate to the principal building (on the same lot). <br />The City Code regulates accessory buildings through a variety of standards, including size <br />restrictions, placement, oversize buildings, and the installation of plumbing fixtures. Included in <br />the presentation is additional information regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), water - <br />oriented accessory structures, and the associated definitions. <br />Commissioners will review the current accessory building regulations and discuss the intent and <br />goals of the regulations. <br />Exhibits <br />Accessory Building Overview- FINAL <br />K <br />
