Water -Oriented Accessory Structures <br />Shoreland Overlay District Standard <br />Water-orientedaccessorystructure orfacilitymeansasmall, abovegroundbuildingorotherimprovement, <br />exceptstaifways, fences, docks and retamingwalls, which, because of the relationship of its use to a surface <br />water feature, reasonably needs to be located closer to public waters than the normalstructure setback. <br />Examples of such structures and facilities include boathouses, gazebos, screen houses, fish houses, pump <br />houses, lock boxes, and detached decks. <br />The only water -oriented accessory structures allowed to be located <br />nearer the ordinary high-water level than the normal structure setback <br />shall be: <br />1. One lockbox no greater than 20 square feet in area and no higher <br />than 48 inches in height; <br />2. One flagpole setback from side lot lines a distance no less than <br />the required principal structure side yard setback for the zoning <br />district; and <br />3. One pumphouse no greater than 20 square feet in area and no <br />higher than 48 inches in height. <br />11 <br />
