MINUTES OF A PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 27, 1978 <br />Planning Commission met on the above date. The <br />following members were present: Chairman Hassel, <br />Hurr, McDonald, Hannah, Frahm and Hammerel. Mabusth <br />represented the City staff. Mayor Van Nest was also <br />present. <br />ATTENDANCE <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Mabusth stated that she had the Affidavit of zNNEPIN COUNTY <br />Publication and Certificate of Mailing. Gregg PARK RESERVE DISTRICT <br />Mack represented the Park Reserve District. Street Vacations <br />He presented a map on the Park Reserve's plan Big Island <br />for parks on Big Island and their recent decision PUBLIC HEARING <br />as to park boundary locations. He stated that 7:37 P.M. - 7:50 P.M. <br />the purpose of the street vacations was to create (#444) <br />a buildable lot to use in exchange for another <br />niece of property which the Park Reserve wants to <br />obtain. This property, located on the east island <br />next to the veteran's camp, is a connecting link <br />between two pieces of park property. Denny Kilbane, <br />part owner of this parcel, was present. Discussion <br />ensued regarding replatting that would put all of <br />the public right-of-way into a strip along the west <br />edge of the lot rather than vacating any right-of-way. <br />Hurr moved to table this item pending further direction <br />and rationale on public benefits derived by vacating <br />public right of way. They also requested calculation <br />of area of public land within the platted lots and <br />suggested that this be submitted as a replatting. <br />Motion seconded by Hammerel. Vote: Ayes (6), Nays (0). <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />The Nobles were represented by Robert Hoffman. Mr. JOHN NOBLE <br />and Mrs. Noble and Mr. Charles Alexander were present. 1185 Ferndale <br />Two revised plans were presented. Mr. Hoffman stated CONDITIONAL USE <br />that the driveway to the east of the lot was formerly VARIANCES <br />County Road 15 (this was also verified by a neighbor (#429) <br />to the west of Noble). Previous variance applications <br />(McDonald #361 & Rovick #77) were also discussed. Mr. <br />Hoffman stated that the pond was originally wetland <br />and was then filled because it was unstable. He also <br />stated that neighbors on both sides would rather have <br />the house closer to the lake so they would not have <br />to look into their pool. <br />PERMI' <br />
