D. Public Service Structures. Public service structures, <br />including but not limited to electric transmis-,ion lines, <br />buildings such as telephone exchange stations, booster or <br />pressure regulating stations, wells, and plumbing stations, <br />elevated tanks, lift stations and electrical power substations, <br />provided no building shall be located within fifty feet from any <br />lot line of an abutting lot in an "R" District. Prior to <br />granting such permit it shall be found tha,: the architectural <br />design of service structures is compatible to the neighborhood in <br />which it is to be located and thus will promote the general <br />welfare. Public service structures as defined above that have <br />been approved by the City at required public hearings for public <br />improvement projects shall be exempt from the requirerents of <br />this section; amendments to approved plans involving design <br />and/or placement of these structures will require written notice <br />by the City to all affected property owners prior to the formal <br />adoption of the amended plans by the Council. <br />Section 4 - Orono Municipal Code Sections 10.40, Subdivision (A) is <br />hereby amended by adding the following use to the Retail and Service <br />Business District: <br />31. Off -sale Liquor Store <br />Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />aster the date of its passage and publication. <br />Passed by the City Council this 23rd day of February, 1937, by a <br />vote of ayes and __ nays. <br />James R.
