,� <br /> .� , <br /> �_ . <br /> � O� <br /> � O O <br /> ��b. - C ITY of ORONO <br /> � _� . <br /> '� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ���kE H�4�'G � NO. �� <br /> S <br /> � A RESOLUTION COMMENDING <br /> DAVE CHILDS <br /> FOR HIS OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS <br /> TO THE CITY OF ORONO <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Orono,in recent years,has faced a large number of critical issues; <br /> and � <br /> WHEREAS,some of these require cooperative efforts among the lake area cities and other <br /> agencies; and <br /> _ WHEREAS,aspects of these issues require expertise beyond those of the Orono City staff; <br /> and <br /> � WHEREAS,Dave Childs,Minnetonka City Manager,has provided leadership in facilitating <br /> • j oint efforts involving lake area cities and other agencies to address issues related to Lake <br /> Minnetonka; and <br /> WHEREAS,he has contributed his expertise and abilities, as well as endless hours of his <br /> time to providing assistance to the City on a number of key issues,including the following: <br /> • He shared his experiences and insights regarding the consolidation of <br /> municipalities with the Mayors and City Administrators of Long Lake and <br /> Orono when they were in early discussions regarding initiating a <br /> consolidation study. <br /> • He has served as a coach and mentor to the Orono City Administrator to <br /> assist fhe City Administrator in addressing organizational issues, and in <br /> furthering his professional development. <br /> • He has served as a resource person to assist in planning a team building/role <br /> clarification workshop for the Orono City Council and City Administrator. <br /> and; <br /> • a Page 1 of 2 <br />
