Staff feels it is because it changes the configuration of <br />hardcover in the 75-250' zone and he is over 25%, therefore needing a <br />variance per past Council policy. <br />Staff notes also per prior Council discussion that this stairway is <br />not a "required" egress from the house and is not required specifically in <br />the building code, but is recommended as a second means of egress. <br />Applicant correctly notes that the stairway will provide a quicker access <br />to the lakeshore for safety purposes. <br />Staff Reco endation: <br />Given the corrected 75' setback line and the new numbers as shown <br />above, staff recommends approval of Scheme B since it most adequately <br />addressed the Council's concerns of 11/10/86. <br />A resolution for approval of Scheme B is attached for Council's <br />review. <br />
