'ls you will also recall the following people are serving in the <br />following capacities: <br />Charles Kelley 'R) - Rural <br />Paul Taylor (R) - Rural <br />Jim Hanson (R) - At Large <br />Maureen Bellows (R) - At Large <br />By ordinance appointees must be 2 urban, 2 rural and 3 at large <br />for a total of 7 members. All continuing members on the <br />Commission are from the rural area. The split is based on <br />availability of sewer service. Should you desire to change, you <br />could do so by ordinance amendment. (Since individuals who <br />applied for all vacancies were asked if they would serve in other <br />capacities, their designation urban/rural is noted in <br />parenthesis.) <br />PARK COMMISSION - As you will recall two vacancies exist, the <br />indivi-d"oals interested are as follows: <br />Lee Erger (Incumbant) (U) <br />Ron Anderson (U) <br />Bruce Kokal (R) <br />Appointments for these positions will be for a three year term. <br />Additionally Terry Morse should be formally reappointed. <br />MISCELLANEOUS - As you will recall there were four other <br />app�ntments that remain to be mad,, to complete the list for <br />1987. These are as follows: <br />Acting Mayor <br />Planning Commission Chair <br />Planning Commission Vice Chair <br />Alternate Attorney - William Soth, Dorsey 6 Whitney <br />- Mr. Both is the City Attorney for St. Anthony, <br />Woodland and Deephiven and is familiar with lake :::sues. <br />This is only utilized in the case of a conflict of <br />interest by the City's primary firm Popham, Haik. <br />The appointment for Human Relations was also up and it's <br />recommended that this be discontinuted at this time, given the <br />fact that they have not meet in three years and there is no <br />statutory requirement that they continue. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS - It is recommended that the appointments be made <br />and appTents for miscellaneous be incorporated in the <br />attached resolution. <br />
