MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 8, 1986 <br />LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT REPORT <br />LIQUOR ON THE LAKE <br />1987 LEGISLATION <br />LMCD Representative JoP:llen Hurr reported that they are <br />in the process of legal research regarding selling of <br />liquor on the lake. The matter of issuing a Lake <br />Minnetonka use sticker has been accepted finding that <br />90% of the public, marinas, etc. position is positive, <br />if the money from the stickers will be used for lake <br />improvements. The LMCD is working with the DNR to try <br />and give the LMCD more authority on the lake. She noted <br />that the prosecutions by the LaFevre Law firm has been <br />very successful. The LMCD is going to adopt an <br />ordinance thatrelates to slip sizes. She noted that. <br />the cost for temporary de-icing permits is going to <br />increase. <br />Councilmember Grabek asked about the status of <br />additional accesses on Lake Minnetonka. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Hurr stated that the Park District has had several <br />meetings and feel positive regarding an additional <br />access specifically for fishing boats. The LMCD would <br />like the Park District to manage all the boat launches <br />in the future hecause they have the ability to charge a <br />launch fee. She noted that the LMCD has not been <br />opposed to additional accesses. <br />There were no comments from the public. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOW S REPORT: <br />#922 VAN EECKHOUT BUILDING CORP. <br />220/280 SALEM COURT <br />LOT LINE REARRANGEMENT FINAL SUBDIVISION <br />RESOLUTION #2096 <br />Chuck VanEeckhout was present for this matter. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson explained the request for <br />a metes and bounds lot line rearra:gement of 2 lots in <br />the Dickey Lake Addition to create a more logical lot <br />boundary. He noted that in the near future, Council <br />action will be required for the appropriate easement <br />forms to be executed by the respective property owners <br />as a condition of the proposed easement vacation <br />application. <br />Councilmember Adams voiced concern regarding the <br />property changing hands before final plat was approved <br />that. could lead to serious problems in other cases. <br />Assistant Zoning Administrator Gaffron stated that some <br />items were partially completed and staff has no <br />authority to push the applicant to complete the <br />requirements in a timely manner on a metes and bounds <br />lot line rearrangement. <br />5 <br />
