Gerhardscn, Public Wcrks Coordinator ', 12 11187 <br />Date: January 6, 1987 CY 'T ORONO <br />Subject: Park Name "Livingston Tower Park" <br />Currently the City of Orono owns a small parcel of land <br />adjacent to the water treatment plant at the corner of Blaine <br />Avenue and Livingston Avenue in Navarre (see attached sketch). <br />The parcel of land was acquired by the City from Schlee <br />developers in lieu of Park Dedication monies. <br />Because the parcel of land is designated for park use and is <br />being developed, it is necessary to establish a name for the <br />property. <br />At a regular Park Commission meeting on December 1, 1986, <br />the Park Commission voted to recommend to the Orono Council that <br />the parcel be designated as "Livingston Tower !lark". <br />RECOMMENDATION: That. the Orono Council formally designate the <br />parcel of City property adjacPrt to the water treatment plant at <br />the corner of Livingston Aven,,., and Blaine Avenue as "Livingston <br />Tower Park". <br />PROPOSED MOTION: Moved by seconded by , to designate the <br />City property at the above mentioned location as "Livingston. <br />Tower Park".
