Sample Letter Requesting Attendance at 1/12/3'1 <br />ISSUE_ - Method of selection of individual to fill the Council <br />seat vacated upon Jim Grabek becoming Mayor. <br />INTRODUCTION - As you are probably aware the City has placed ad3 <br />in the four local newspapers, togQther with sending letters to <br />all Planning and Park Commission members and to all individuals <br />that ran for Council indicating that there would be a vacancy. <br />Attached are the following names of persons who have indicated <br />their interest. <br />Ed Callahan <br />Charles Kelley <br />Gary Printup <br />Edward C. Brown III <br />Thomas Casey <br />Julie Harr en <br />Mariann Ki.enzler <br />Earl Dorn <br />L&Dean McWilliams <br />T'ie staff requested those who indicated interest to be in <br />attendence at 8:00 P.M. this Council meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION - In light of the fart that their January 26th <br />meeting will probably not be able to be held, due to lack of a <br />quorum, it is proposed that the Council interview these persons <br />at this meeting and that a selection be made at the February 9, <br />1987 meeting. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _ , seconded by _ , having interviewed <br />interested candidates for the position of Council the staff is <br />directed and to direct staff to obtain any additional information <br />desired by Council and place on the February 9, 1987 agenda for a <br />decision.
