At e suggestion of City Attorney Jeffrey Bland of the Hinshaw & Culbertson firm, I sending you this letter to request formally a 6-month extension of City Council Resolu ons 5246 and 4 794. "The original approval of this lot line rearrange ent (Resolution 4 794) was extended by Resolution 5246 through April 22, 2005 o allow my clients to resolve various issues the title work disclosed. I have been w rking cooperatively with Mr. Bland, my clients, and Guaranty Title Insurance Com any to resolve these issues. We were in the process of executing final documents in J uary of this year when one of the titleholders became a party to marriage dissolution pr ceedings. We could not proceed with execution of the documents until either those pr ceedings were completed or the parties thereto resolved any competing claims to the s bject property. My understanding is that such a resolution will be forthcoming soon, bu not in time to complete execution of the lot line rearrangement documents by the April 2 deadline.
