The approval allowed 4 'Record Lots' on Big Island to <br />be divided and combined to result in just 2 final lots. <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends approval of an extension of the effective period of <br />subdivision approval to April 22, 2005. <br />Please review the exhibits. The reason for the requested extension is that the subdivision was never filed <br />with the County, because the applicants encountered title issues which have only recently been resolved <br />(See Exhibit B). Our standard boilerplate language required that this subdivision be filed with the County <br />by October 22, 2002. This application was seen by staff as a win-win for the applicants and the City, as <br />it results in new lots that are more conforming in size than the prior layout. The City Attorney has indicated <br />that while no hearing is required to extend the approval, formal Council action is necessary. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of an extension of the effective period of subdivision approval to April 22, <br />2005 per the attached resolution. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt or amend the attached resolution.
