<br />The Planning Comm ission will hold public hearings in the
<br />Orono Council Cha mb ers at 2780 Kelley Parkway on
<br />Monday, September 21 , 2009 , beginning at 6 :3 0 p.m.
<br />on the matter of reviewi ng the following land use applica-
<br />tions:
<br />09-3411 David Fox, on behalf of Bill Fox Tru stee, 1095
<br />Ferndale Road West, LR-1 A zon in g district, requests a
<br />co nd itional use permit for fill ing with in the 100 year flood-
<br />pla in , and a number of variances in order to co nstru ct a
<br />new residence on the property. Th e fo ll owing va riances
<br />are requested : an average lakeshore setback va ri ance to
<br />locate th e house a head of the average lakes ho re se tb ack;
<br />a hardcover va ri ance to al low 24% hardcover within the 0-
<br />75 ' zone where O is allowed and 27.5% cu rre ntl y ex ists ;

<br />va ri ances in order to construct a po rch addition over an
<br />ex isting patio. They are requesting 10.95% hardcover
<br />wit hin the 0-75' zone where 0% is all owed and 11 .5% cur-
<br />rently exis ts and 41.4% within the 75'-250' zone where
<br />24% is normally al lowed and 40 .9% cu rr e ntl y exists , and
<br />a side ya rd setback of 15.1 feet for the porch addition
<br />where 30 feet is required and a 14.8 foot setback ex ists.
<br />All persons wishing to be heard are e ncou raged to attend
<br />this meeting. Th is is not a fi nal age nda and is subject to
<br />change prior to the hearing. Written comments a re ac-
<br />cepted and should be submitted to the City of Orono by
